Read How I Lost 45 Pounds with two simple steps

Very few women or men are lucky enough to have the high metabolism that will prevent us from gaining unwanted pounds as we age. Those who do they should feel very lucky indeed. Women should also remember if they are dieting with their husbands or partners, that they usually have more muscle mass by natural selection, and will no doubt lose a bit faster. It is not fair for them to be able to achieve weight loss faster, yet it is the way it is. The real point here is to not let it discourage you should this happen. Women are simply built differently.

What you could do when comparing losses with others is to use percentages (figure how much individual loss amounts are, for example; what percentage 5 pounds of weight loss equals to when divided into as persons current weight). This is the way they do it on the television contests involving weight loss (such as The Biggest Loser).

To get ahead of the game remember that you have to exercise as well. Even if you are extremely out of shape, you can still exercise. Yoga is so low impact that you will barely notice (pain wise) that you are building stronger muscles. You should not be out of breath or feel sick doing it. There are beginner positions and as you learn you will advance to poses that are more difficult. You may not burn calories as fast as aerobics, yet you will gain lean dancer like muscles in the process, which will burn more calories for you.

As you become more limber, walking is a great way to also relieve stress and burn calories. When small, I would run between telephone poles, then walk between the next two, this seemed to shorten the distance for me without getting too tired. Now the experts will tell you that alternate running and walking can be much more efficient for calorie burning and weight loss than doing either one of them by themselves. You can try this once you build up your strength a bit and as you do, you will see how it prevents you from feeling so exhausted, as you will rest between runs by walking slowly, but steadily.

Joining a gym can be intimidating especially those that have big windows for outsiders to look into. If you want to go this way, find one that you feel very comfortable at and which offers all the amenities like showers and sauna and whirlpools. This way you can pamper yourself after your exercise and feel like a King or Queen. If you can manage it, finding one with an indoor pool is best and one with both indoor and outdoor is even better.

The Full Story Of The Incredible Weight Loss Twins

June 26th, 2009

You have heard about the Weight Loss Twins, and now you can find out the full story of these amazing people. The Dad of the famous Weight Loss Twins, George Germanakos, used to say, “The only way to get something done is to get it started.” Imagine how delighted and proud he would have been if he had lived long enough to see his twin boys, Bill and Jim, diet and exercise their way to victory on series 4 of the enormously popular NBC dieting and fitness show The Biggest Loser to become well known as The Weight Loss Twins. Surprisingly, it wasn’t always like that, though Jim Germanakos has traditionally been a great fan of the series. Jim’s a Manhattan cop and a big family man. Up to 2 years before, whenever his shifts allowed, he would sit on the settee before the TV munching away on high-cal comfort snacks, soaked up by the exploits of the shrinking contestants, but not particularly worried about his own 295lb ever growing frame. That was before his “ahaa” moment, before he was one of the Weight Loss Twins.

The Weight Loss Twins weighed into the show at 361lbs and 334lbs. Jim and Bill had been large guys all their lives. The Weight Loss Twin’s pop, George, had been a large man also and had died of obesity related complications when they were young. In spite of this, Jim was an active guy, a dedicated fire-fighter and cop who enjoyed messing around and play with his kids. He didn’t think his own weight was really a great obstacle. His other half, Val, was a big woman as well. In common with lots of us, they enjoyed their food. As Jim puts it, when you reach 295lbs you come to accept your obesity and keep on snacking..

That’s until the moment when your weight begins to get in the way of your folk’s happiness! It was when his sixteen year old son, a keen eagle scout, eventually got himself and his father accepted on an exciting adventure trip, that Jim suddenly understood his obesity was potentially a massive drawback. While working out in an intensive training session, when the coach discovered that Jim weighed over 300lbs, he had to stop both father and son from going on the trip. It turned out that the helicopters couldn’t evacuate anyone with a weight of over 250lbs. His son was so distraught he was crying all the way home. He loved Jim but he understood that his father had let him down. For Jim this was a slap in the face, his “Ahaa moment” and he resolved to do something about it – as one of the Weight Loss Twins.

Then together, the Germanakos brothers, the Weight Loss Twins, auditioned for The Biggest Loser. During the first 5 weeks Jim was able to lose 54 pounds. Then Jim was knocked out of the competition. During the next 6 months back home, through dedication and grit, he shed a further 133lbs. He could not have done it without the love and support from his other half, Val, who also shed 50lbs. The Weight Loss Twins went on to win the show. Bill was the series winner and Jim was given the “Winner of losers” prize.

Since then the Weight Loss Twins have been featured on TV shows like Larry King Live and Entertainment Tonight and have gained universal affection and world wide fame. They have quite rightly become celebrities in their own field. Particularly, they’ll soon be turned into video game icons when they appear as characters in the very popular Nintendo Wii video game fitness series. Most importantly in the period since they were winners in the show both the Weight Loss Twins have shown they can keep almost all of the wonderful weight loss they achieved at the time when they appeared on The Biggest Loser.

Would you like to lose some excess weight like the Weight Loss Twins? How do your family members feel about your size and weight? In a similar way to money and alcohol problems, excess weight gain may be a gigantic reason for marriage break-ups. How honest is your family doctor? Have they informed you that the multiple hazards to your health due to your excess weight might mean that you can never live to watch your children graduate or get to walk your daughter down the aisle? If that’s the case, have you had your own “ahaa” moment yet?

Would you like to know exactly how the Weight Loss Twins did it? The guys have now, with the help of the experts, come up with their own new special program for you, the Truth about Diets, which incorporates their Rapid Action Metabolism System or RAM system. The Weight Loss Twins would like to share their secrets with you so you can lose that excess weight for ever! User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars good workout routine
Im giving this 5 stars only bc I loved the workout and excercises. I have been able to bring her ideas to the gym. I had been looking for a book with good techniques and basically, its a personall trainer in a book. I love it and am now on my 2nd week and i feel the pain and I see my abs already starting to work. Her harsh words arent for me neither are the wierd food recipes- but Im picky and have never found a book with meal that are real. I like the book and won’t give it up. If you want to train yourself… this is the book, she also has good information on vitamins, supplements and anything regarding health and nutrition.

3 Stars too many assumptions
I just got the book and was very excited. Then as I am reading and paging through I noticed in the workout section that she assumes that you have access to a gym. I work out exclusively at home and do not have access to gym equipment. I am very disappointed. I diet looks interesting, difficult with a family, but it is only for 30 days to be followed strictly.

5 Stars Work out
I am still in the process of reading the book but enjoyed everything about it. My favorite part is that it has a section that plans meals for you and also has a section with exercises, including pictures of the excercises. I bought Jillian’s first book two years ago and this one is a great addition to her collection.

4 Stars Did not start the program yet
I got the book and was so excited to start the program and LOVED the fact that I can actually eat all food groups so that I don’t feel deprived! The work-outs seem like they are right up my ally since I love to work out. My problem is that I’m not sure how to effectively work out w/out stopping all the time to open the book and see the exercises. For those who have followed the book, did you practice at home several times before starting. Also, has anyone tried to complete the series of exercises more than one time (like she recommends for added weight loss). If anyone had their body fat done before & after, I would be curious to hear those results, since I’m more concerned with body fat rather than the scale.

4 Stars Holy Cow!!
I have been using Body Sculpting Bible for women for ten months now, and my 50 pound weight loss has my body feeling like it could stay here. I am 5′7″ and now weigh 150. I look okay, but I bought this book because wanted to lose that last 10 pounds (and not even pounds if I can drop 10% body fat by using this program). Welll, Making the Cut kicked my butt today. I completed, sort of, day one. For the person who says she doesn’t incorporate enough cardio–liar. Have you tried doing one minute of mountain climbers in the middle of a circuit? What about fifty burpies? Or what about . . . oh I could go on, but that would give it away. This book uses high repetitions of intense important muscle movement. At one point, my heart rate was pretty high. I had to take a little ‘unscheduled’ sit-down to get it all okay again. Now, I’m not saying I’m in marathon shape, but dang! I’m doing pretty good. Or so I thought.

If you want a workout that will shake it up for you and get your metabolism going, this one will do it. I only gave this book four stars because I am only on day one, but I will come back in thirty days and update. If I lose sufficient body fat or pounds–it gets five stars. So far, I think this will do.

Holy Cow.
